HBIS Limited is a large iron and steel enterprise formed by the combination of three listed companies, including Tangshan Iron & Steel, Handan Iron & Steel and Chengde Vanadium & Titanium, through the absorption and merger in the securities market, with its registered address in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. HBIS Limited is one of the largest listed steel companies in China, with a total share capital of 10.337 billion shares at the end of 2022, and is an index stock of CSI 500 Index and SZC 500 Index, and the underlying stock of securities margin trading, as well as a constituent stock of MSCI China A-share Index.
HBIS TANGSTEEL
Tangsteel is the core enterprise and largest subsidiary of HBIS. It is the birthplace of converter steelmaking in China and was once one of the "Top Ten Steels" in the country. Tangsteel is the largest state-owned steel enterprise in Tangshan and the national A-level environmental performance enterprise, is the country’s “first batch of green factories”, it is praised as the "cleanest steel factory in the world" by the World Steel Association, and won the "National May Day Labor Award" and "National Civilized Unit"and other honorary titles.
Tangsteel is an influential and well-known production base for automotive steel and home appliance panels at home and abroad. The main body of steel production is Tangsteel Company New District, located in Tangshan Leting Economic Development Zone, the completed intelligent "unmanned" material yard is the first in the world. Hansteel is the core enterprise of HBIS Group. Established in 1958, Hansteel now has 18,000 employees and an annual production capacity of 11.05 million tons of high-quality steel. Hansteel is also an important national production base for fine sheet and strip and super special steel. ZXHT (formerly HBIS XuanSteel) is the backbone subsidiary of HBIS. Its predecessor was LongYan Iron Ore Co., LTD., which was founded in 1919. Chengde Vanadium and Titanium New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Chengde Vanadium and Titanium Company), its predecessor was founded in 1954, which is the birthplace of China's vanadium and titanium magnetite blast furnace smelting and vanadium extraction processing technology. The industrialization technology for the comprehensive development and utilization of vanadium and titanium resources is at a leading level in the world and is known as the "Vanadium Capital of Northern China". The products mainly include vanadium based materials, titanium based materials, and vanadium containing high-quality steel. HBIS WUSTEEL
WUSTEEL is the banner enterprise of special steel plate of HBIS.It was founded in 1970, and now has two world-class production lines of four meters wide and thick steel plate, complete with ingot mold casting line, steel plate heat treatment and steel plate deep processing facilities, as well as the state-level physical and Chemical Inspection Center, with an annual output of 5 million tons of steel, 4 million tons of wide and thick steel comprehensive capacity. In the 16 series, more than 300 varieties, more than 400 thickness specifications of brand-name boutique system, more than 220 varieties to replace imports or use foreign standards of production, established a“New, excellent, special, fine” leading edge in variety quality. On behalf of the steel industry, WUSTEEL has formulated 9 national standards, such as“Thickness directional performance steel plate”, “Construction structural steel plate”, etc. , products are widely used in the olympic“Bird's Nest”, offshore oil platforms, nuclear power, hydropower and other key parts of more than 400 major projects at home and abroad, in the second season of CCTV's“Great Powers and heavy weapons”, about 60 core heavy weapons stories, there are more than 20 heavy weapons flashing the glory of dancing steel. “WUSTEEL brand” by the international peers as a representative of China's wide plate technology level brand.
HBIS MINING
HBIS Mining, established in September 2008, is strategically situated within Tangshan City, serving as a pivotal raw material cornerstone for the HBIS Group. It is a colossal modernized mining enterprise primarily engaged in the extraction, selection, and processing of iron ore, supplemented by related industries such as comprehensive resource utilization, pyrotechnics, and the manufacturing of mining equipment. Currently, HBIS Mining operates eight iron ore production bases, controlling an iron ore resource of over 3 billion tons, and possessing an annual production capacity of 10 million tons of iron fine powder. In the 2022 ranking, it held the fifth position in the "Top 50 Chinese Metallurgical and Mining Enterprises".
HBIS Mining has set a benchmark in the construction of "Green Mining". It has released and implemented the first domestic "Ecological Civilization Construction Plan" for mining enterprises. It took the lead in formulating the "Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Plan". The company also spearheaded the performance grading efforts in the ore mining and processing sector of Hebei Province. HBIS SHISTEEL
Shisteel as the specialized special steel bar and wire rod production enterprise, is the landmark enterprise in the special steel sector of HBIS Group. Shisteel is the main supplier of high-end equipment manufacturing materials at domestic and overseas, and the national high-tech enterprise. Shisteel completed the construction of the new plant and put into operation on Oct 29, 2020, achieving location adjustment and transformation, upgrading and development. Shisteel has transitioned from long-process to short-process production, and has been awarded the titles of Hebei Province's single champion enterprise, national green short-process intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory, "Digital Pilot" enterprise, and national green factory.
Shisteel relies on world high-end equipment and technologies such as scrap preheating DC arc furnace, continuous mold casting, three-roll reducing and sizing block from KOCKS, and seventh generation of Morgan high-speed wire rod mill to implement full process intelligent manufacturing, targeting cutting-edge demand from market and high-end materials, strengthening deep integration of industry& academia, researching and enhancing independent innovation capabilities.
